Summary

This article from the Pew Research center discusses how to go about collecting survey data.  It goes into different modalities by which to conduct surveys.  In particular, the article talks about cellphone, internet, and panel surveys.  Another interesting idea presented in the article, is the idea of reinterviewing.  Here the researcher would survey the same people over time to see if their opinions have changed.

Experience

My primary experience with surveys is over the internet or conducting interviews.  In my line of work, cellphone or telephone surveys would not be appropriate since I mainly focus on internal, work populations.  What I do see as relevant is the idea of reinterviewing or panel surveys.  This will be useful to employ for initiative that I launch to see how they change attitudes, culture, or mindsets over time because I will have access to the same population.
