Summary

This article from the Pew Research center discusses questionnaire design.  It goes into question development, measuring changer over time, and includes explanations of different questions types and question wording.  Additionally, it goes over question order and how to conduct pilot testing of questionnaires.


Experience

Reading of this article came at a good time as I was designing a survey to go out to a select group of people for a project at work.  This article reinforced ideas learn from another reading on the same topic and helped me to take a much more thoughtful approach to survey design and ended up yielding a high response rate that provided valuable information for my project.
